Ms. D’Souza assists individuals and corporate clients in various industries on various immigration matters, including nonimmigrant visas, applications for permanent residence, PERM labor certification applications, and 1-601 Waivers. She also advises international students with obtaining appropriate student and training visas, in addition to helping with the transitions from student to professional visas.

Ms. D’Souza has over 10 years of experience representing a wide range of clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Customs and Border Protection, Department of Labor and the Department of State. Her clients include senior executives, individuals, families, private companies, religious organizations, educational institutes, non-profit organizations, small businesses, small-medium corporations and large multi-national organizations.

Ms. D’Souza gained expertise managing high-volume employee transfers while working at a multinational consulting firm, where she assisted employers in gaining temporary and permanent visas for employees and executives of large multi-national corporations. Ms. D’Souza has practiced immigration law with some of the leading IT/management consulting firms in the United States and Canada.

Ms. D’Souza began her legal career as a lecturer in law in her hometown in India. She taught international law and constitution law for 10 years in Vaikunta Baliga College of Law, Mangalore University, in India. She immigrated to the United States in 2003. Her distinct background and experiences as a foreign-born individual who has personally experienced the immigration process, coupled with her passion to work for immigrants, allows her to have sensitivity in dealing with the needs of a foreign national clientele.

During law school, Ms. D’Souza worked as a research assistant, and served as a student attorney with Unemployment Action Center, Inc. and Domestic Violence Advocacy Center of Fordham Law School, New York. She has provided pro bono assistance to DACA applicants, and currently volunteers with Feerick Center for Social Justice, New York.
